Getting Started

These are instructions for the greenturtle mag theme. Greenturtle mag is a simple yet powerful theme. We have provided step by step instructions to get you on your way to your dream site.

How to Install Greenturtle Mag Theme

Upload Theme

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Themesin the WordPress Dashboard
  • 2 : Click on the Add New button
  • 3 : Search for the greenturtle mag
  • 4 : Select the Greenturtle Magtheme
  • 5 : Click Install Now

Upload Greenturtle Mag Pro Theme

Go to Greenturtle Mag Pro And Download theme.

Activate Greenturtle Mag Theme

Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress Dashboard. And hover the theme thumbnail and press the Activate button

How to Install Recommended Plugins

Recommended Plugins Premium

There will be notice on your dashboard to install recommended plugins. You just need to click Begin installing plugin button.

Or install following plugins from WordPress repo.

Import Demo Data

Demo Data Premium

You can easily import pre built demos with a single click of the import button. Please make sure you have installed and activated one click demo import plugin.

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Import Demo Datain the WordPress Dashboard
  • 2 : Select any demo.

Site Identity

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identityin the WordPress Dashboard


Now you can make changes on LogoSite TitleTagline, and Site Icon.

Color Options

Color & Font Premium

  • 1: Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> Color & Fontin the WordPress Dashboard


Now you can select color on Theme Color, Menu active and hover color, Header Background , Body Background , Footer background

Font Options

Color & Font Premium

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> Color & Fontin the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can Select Google Font

Header & Social

Header & Social option

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> Header Sectionin the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can manage header section and social links

Sidebar Layout

Sidebar Layout

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> Sidebar Layout Settingin the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can manage sidebar position for page , posts and archive layout

Archive Layout

Archive Layout Setting Premium

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> Archive Layout Settingin the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can manage archive, category layout

General Setting

Preloader, scroll to top and fallback image Setting Premium

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > GreenTurtle Mag Theme Options -> General Settingin the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can load preloader in your site , can load scroll to top button and can load fallback image if pos has no thumbnail.

Manage Menu

After activation of the theme, you will see all the pages as menus . If you want to make your own menu with pages, categories, links please follow details which are listed below.

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Menusin the WordPress menu
  • 2 : Click on Create a new menulink
  • 3 : Give a name to your menu in Menu Name and click Create Menu button
  • 4 : Now choose the pages, categories, custom links from the leftside of your screen by selecting the checkbox and click on Add Menu
  • 5 : Click Save Menu
  • 6 : On Menu setting Choose Display Location Primary for Main Menu .

Add Top menu and Footer menus in same way and Choose Display Location top menu and footer for each

Background Image

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize >Background Imagein the WordPress Dashboard

Now you can make changes on Background image

Background Color

  • 1 : Go to Appearance > Customize > colors ->Background Colorin the WordPress Dashboard


Now you can make changes on Background Color and Header Text

How to setup front page

  • 1 : Go to Pages > Add New in the WordPress Dashboard

  • 2 : Enter any title eg:Home , Choose FrontPage in dropdown and Publish .

  • 3 :Go to Setting-> Reading
  • Choose Front Page Displaysas A static Page and select your page.

What to do If you get an error while uploading your theme.

If you have a cpanel server you can install the theme easily using the Cpanel File Manager.   If you have the Pro version and need help with the install, simply submit a trouble ticket  (link to form) and we will be happy to do the install for you.

The steps are:

  1. Select “File Manager” in cpanel

    1. Navigate to the public_html > wp-content > themes folder
    2. Click the Upload Button and select the GTL Multipurpose them
    3. Go back to the File Manager by clicking the link at the bottom of the upload window

    1. Select the theme and click the “Extract” link.  (Make sure you extract it to the “Themes” Folder
    2. That’s all.  You are done.  When you go back to “Appearance > Themes” in cpanel you will see your theme. Mouseover the theme and click “Activate” and the theme will become active
